William E. "Pork" Clay
88, died at 12:07 AM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the Lodge Nursing Rehab Center in Loveland, Ohio.
William was born on November 15, 1929, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Helen (Garrett) Clay. He married Malta Cleo (Akers) Clay who preceded him in death on January 17, 1953.
Pork was a graduate of South High School. He served in the United States Air Force. He retired after 30 years from the Ohio Steel Foundry. He had worked at the Publix Grocery Store in Florida, and during the summers he worked at Cedar Fairs, Kings Island.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Maddux, of Maineville, OH; two grandchildren, Melissa Maddux of Maumee, OH, and Phillip Maddux of Maineville, OH; numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Hogan and an infant grandson, Paul William Maddux,
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M on Thursday, June7, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio and one hour prior to services on Friday.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Rousculp Church of Christ. Pastor Ken Rader will officiate.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rousculp Church of Christ, St. Rt. 65 & Amherst Rd., Cridersville, Ohio 45806.
