William was born January 12, 1936 to Frederick Eugene Graessle and Helen Pauline Hydaker Graessle of Kossuth, Ohio. He passed away at home July 22, 2016 at 1:59 p.m. Both parents are deceased.
William graduated in the Class of 1954 from Spencerville High School. He entered into the United States Air Force June 1954 and received a honorable discharge in November 1957 due to a drop in the Armed Forces. William was employed by The United States Telephone Systems January 1957 and retired June 2, 1999 with 40 years of service.
He married Loretta Bradley August 23, 1959, who still survives. William and Loretta would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in August. They have three daughters: Kimberly (Dan) Shepler, Katrina (Randy) Sellers and Deborah Pasko; five grandchildren, Tami Dye, Traci (Kevin) Miller, Shayne (Amanda) Pulford, Heather Pulford and Nathaniel Shepler; three great grandchildren, Alexa O'Daniel, Landon Gipson and Silas Hiler; sister, Linda (Larry) Blumer of Neodesha, Kansas; two nephews, Kent Stallter of Provincetown, Massachusetts and Todd Stallter of Cheyenne, Wyoming. One deceased nephew Steve Stallter.
There will be a private service and burial at Westminister Salem Cemetery.
