William "Terry" Kundert

William "Terry" Kundert,

74, passed away at 3:20 AM on Friday, October 14, 2016, at his residence.

Terry was born on Wednesday, August 12, 1942, in Lima, to the late William R. and Wilma Jean (Binkley) Kundert. On July 14, 1984, he married Anne Ruth who survives in Elida.

Terry was a 1960 graduate of Elida High School and attended one year at The Ohio State University plus a year at the University of Maryland. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964 as a Medic during Vietnam in Paris, France. He previously worked at CSS Publishing and retired in 2002 as a Sales Representative for Kirby Risk Electrical Supply. Terry was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, the Elida Athletics Boosters and a lifetime member of BPO 54 Elks. Spending time with family and friends and watching the Buckeyes is how Terry enjoyed his free time.

He is survived by: brother, Thomas L. "Tom" Kundert of Elida; sister, Becky Kundert of Lima; step-daughters, Trish (Kevin) Bitters of Granville and Michelle (Josh) Mimna of Delaware, OH; granddaughters, Lindsay Sturgeon and Brittany Newland; step-grandchildren, Brody Bitters and Ava Mimna; great-grandchildren, Karen, Brian and Rori; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Donna) Ruth and Alan (Kay Chronister) Ruth; sister-in-law, Beth Ruth and mother-in-law, Mary Ruth.

Terry is preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Newland and a brother-in-law, Gerald Ruth.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.

A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima. Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 1275.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Elida Athletic Boosters.
