William married Gwendolyn Denning on February 4, 1969. She survives in Lima.
He had formerly worked at the Lima City School System; Consolidated Biscuet Company; Precision Thermoplastic Components of Lima.
He is survived by: a daughter Tressie (Jeff Kunkelman) Wicker, of Lima, OH; two grandchildren Joshua Wicker, and Marissa Wicker.
He was preceded in death by: a sister Ethel Pauline Pursell; a brother James Luther Shaw Jr.
