WILLIAM R. "BILL" SMITH, 48, died at 9:38 p.m. November 9, 2005, at his residence. He was born November 10, 1956, in Lima, Ohio to Dennis and Arlene Smith Smith. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima, Ohio. On April 25, 1997, he married Donna Rex, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Smith was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Experts. He was a member of Cornerstone Harvest Church. Survivors also include a daughter, Jessica (Jason) Engle of Lakeview, Ohio; two sons, Michael J. Smith and Joshua M. Smith, both of Lima, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Donna Jean Pulfer at home; a stepson, Zachariah Dillon Spyker at home; five brothers, James Hershall (Shelly) Smith of Lima, Ohio, Robert Lee (Rhonda "Sue") Smith of West Mansfield, Ohio, and Dennis David (Anita) Smith, Ernest Eugene Smith and Daniel E. (Jodie) Smith, all of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Linda (Rick) Rigali and Brenda (Dominic E.) Brown, both of Lima, Ohio; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Matthew James Pulfer. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Harvest Church. Pastor David Roberts will officiate.
