William M. Thomas, Jr., 89 of Seal Beach, California died on Monday, July 11, 2011, at West Anaheim Hospital, Anaheim California.
Born Sunday, March 5, 1922 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Thomas and the late Susie Gladwell Thomas. He was the husband of the late Faye Neusberger Thomas.
Mr. Thomas served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII and the Korean conflict holding the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He enjoyed playing golf throughout his life and he was also an avid reader. He was a supervisor with Virtue Brother's Manufacturing. After working at Virtue Brother's Manufacuring, Mr. Thomas worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
Surviving are son, William Rex (Donna Joan)Thomas of Norwalk, CA, brother, Robert E. (Deanie) Thomas of Naples, FL., several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by sisters, Arleen Trempert, Cleo Woodall and Wilda O'Dell.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor Roger Emerson officiating. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
