Wilma Jean Behymer

Wilma Jean Behymer , 72, died at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 09, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

Wilma was born on Tuesday, July 29, 1941, in Jellico, Tennessee, to the late Joseph Millard Wilson and Nora Lee [Hatfield] Wilson-Thomas.

On Saturday, August 22, 1959, in New Richmond, OH, she married Thomas E. Behymer, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking and she loved her nieces and nephews dearly. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Hanna and staff at Lima Convalescent Home for their excellent care and service.

She is survived by a brother, Joe (Louise) Wilson of Knoxville, TN, a sister - Pat (John) Stringfield, of Lima, sister - Glenna Linville of Quincy, FL ,sister - Rhonda (Ron) Maples of Harriman, TN , sister Marlene (Terry) Brock of Batavia, OH, sister, Darlene (Jerry) Dyer of Harriman, TN and brother Richard Thomas of Tucson, AZ. Also by a sister-in-law and special friend, Sharon Wilson and a sister-in-law Penny Wilson.

Also surviving are several nieces & nephews, and a whole host of great nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by three brothers; Larry Wilson, James Wilson and Freddie Thomas and her step-father Fred Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM, on Monday July 14, 2014 Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.

Funeral service will begin at on at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M , Pastor Kenny Waldroup officiating.

Interment will be in Lafayette Cemetery, Lafayette, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Convalescent Home.
