Wilma "Jean" Mann

Wilma Jean Mann, born April 6, 1936, past on March 20, 2021 at Springview Manor., Lima, Ohio

She was married to William “Bill” Mann, on September 7, 1958. He survives in Lima.

On March 20, 2021, our beloved ringmaster Wilma Jean Mann left the circus a lot sooner then we all would have preferred. Mom also took on the challenge, with the help of her oldest son David, of keeping “The Three Williams” in line. Another favorite act was the Fabulous Four Queens, also known as Connie Bueter (her BFF), Linda Patrick (her niece), Carol Pickford (her cousin), and Judy Lauck (her cousin). But her shining stars of the show were her grandkids who made life worth living. As much as mom was the glue that held our circus together, she would want the show to go on. She loved playing bingo, volunteering at the St. Rita’s local thrift as well as frequenting local thrift stores for a good deal.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William “Bill” Mann. Children include sons: William Douglas (Cybill) Mann and David (Connie) Mann both of Lima; grandchildren: Emily (Austin) Harmon, Linsey (Kevin) Schneider, McKenzie Mann, William Joseph Mann, and Montana Jayne Gillette all of Lima, great-grandchildren: Connor Hanthorn and Eleanor Jean Harmon, and sister: Eileen Hale (the last Mohican), who will gladly convey mom’s words of wisdom to all of us as needed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Della {Whittaker} Dyer, brothers: Forest Dyer and Clifford Dyer, and sisters: Kate Mclane and Erelene Christenson.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, OH. Big Bill will be present at the visitation from 6-8 p.m. only. Due to COVID, only attend if you feel comfortable.
