WINIFRED "WINNIE" GRATZ, 86, died at 8:44 a.m. June 23, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born September 20, 1918, in Leipsic, Ohio to Ira and Kathryn Pierman Mack, who preceded her in death. She had been married to Kenneth Gratz for 30 years. Mrs. Gratz retired from Bath High School, after 28 years, where she worked in food services. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, where she was a member of its United Methodist Women, had held several offices and cooked many meals. She was a 1936 graduate of Crawfis College High School, Putnam County. She was devoted to her church, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, David E. (Donna) Gratz of Lima, Ohio; three daughters, Linda (Art) Holman of Elida, Ohio, Carol (Roger) Graber of Columbus, Ohio and Diana Miller of Lucky; a sister, Mary K. Mack of Ottawa, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Kara (Rick) Woeller, Krista Holman, Kate (Chris) Stengel, Lisa (Luke) Graziani, Eric (Anne) Graber, Doug (Cheryl) Miller, Pam (Mike) Tomshack, Rachel Gratz, Sarah Gratz, Steven Gratz and Angela Gratz; 12 great-grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Micaela Miller, Nico Graziani, Dante Graziani, Mario Graziani, Connor Tomshack, Kyle Tomshack, Kaitlyn Tomshack, Gwyneth Woeller, Dylan Graber, Paul Harmon and Leisa Lane; and a great-great-grandchild, Kaylan Lane. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Gratz. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Park United Methodist Church. The Rev. Larry Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Harmon Cemetery, Gilboa. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
