Winifred E. ?Winnie? Mulcahy, 89, died at 12:50 a.m. April 18, 2009, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Lima to Charles and Flora Mabel Taylor Hodde, who preceded her in death. On June 26, 1943, she married Thomas A. Mulcahy Jr.,in Waco, Texas. He died March 13, 1946. Mrs. Mulcahy retired in 1989 after 25 years at Smith Boughan Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, in Lima, a former member of Eagles Aerie 370, American Legion Post 54, in Lima, Lost Creek Country Club, Lima Senior Citizens and Lima Women?s Golf Association. She was a former bowler, member of Lima Doubles Badminton Champ. She loved to play Bridge and Upwards. She was 1938 graduate of Lima South High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was a wonderful woman. Survivors include two sons, Thomas A. (Mary Kay Smith) Mulcahy III and Robert (Jan) Mulcahy, both of Lima; two daughters, Kitty (J.D.) Parker and Judy Oglesbee, both of Lima; six grandsons, Tomas (Kim) Mulcahy IV, of Rogers, Ark., Brett (Keli) Axe, of Jacksonville, Fla., Steven (Rachael Tschuor) Oglesbee, of Delphos, Robert ?Spanky? Mulcahy Jr., of Lima, Casey Mulcahy, of Lima, and Jason (Marida Parsons) Oglesbee, of St. Marys; five granddaughters, Dawn (Michael) Arnold, of Kingston, Tenn., Tammi (Kevin) Graf, of North Olmstead, Jennifer (Duane) Petersen, of Westminster, Colo., Angela Mulcahy. of Lima, and Kaitlin Mulcahy, of Lima; 20 great-grandchildren and two on the way; two brothers-in-law, John (Donna) Mulcahy and Robert Bishop, both of Lima; and a sister-in-law, June Mulcahy, of Lima. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Dave Oglesbee and David Axe; three brothers-in-law, Jim Mulcahy, Robert Clark and Gerald Dodge; and four sisters-in-law, Rose Mulcahy, Joan Bishop, Mary Margaret Dodge and Muriel Clark. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Revs. Jerry K. Wiles and David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, April 19 from 6:00 TO 8:00 PM and Monday, April 20 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
